Privacy Policy
Yasumi Sudoku · Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Yasumi Studio ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our apps, including Yasumi Sudoku. This policy applies to every app published by Yasumi Studio, current and future, unless a specific app links to a different policy.
1. Data we collect and why
We don't ask you to create an account or give us your name, email, or phone number to play. The data below is collected automatically by the app and the third-party services (SDKs) it uses.
Anonymous identity & leaderboard — Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore
The app signs you in anonymously using Firebase Authentication — this creates a random device identifier with no name, email, or social login involved. That identifier, together with gameplay data such as your score and level, is stored in Cloud Firestore so the in-app leaderboard/league feature can work. This data cannot reasonably be traced back to you personally.
Provider: Google. Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.
Analytics — Firebase Analytics
Used to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns — which features are used, session length, and similar product metrics — so we can fix bugs and decide what to build next.
Provider: Google. Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Crash reporting — Firebase Crashlytics
Automatically collects crash logs and diagnostic device data (device model, OS version, stack traces) when the app crashes, so we can fix stability issues.
Provider: Google. Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising — Google AdMob, AppLovin MAX
Free use of the app is supported by ads served through Google AdMob and the AppLovin MAX mediation network, which in turn may call other certified ad networks to fill a given ad slot. Depending on your consent choices below, these partners may collect the advertising identifier, coarse device/location data, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads, including personalized ads.
Providers & policies: Google AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy; AppLovin — applovin.com/privacy.
App Tracking Transparency — Apple ATT
On iOS, before any cross-app/cross-site tracking-related identifier is used for advertising, we show Apple's standard App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," we and our ad partners do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking, and you'll only see non-personalized ads.
Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Purchases — Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit
Purchases (removing ads, buying Gems) are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles billing, and we only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed, to unlock the relevant content.
Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Local notifications
If you enable reminders (e.g. for the Daily Challenge), the app schedules local notifications directly on your device using Apple's notification framework. This does not send any data to us or to a server.
We do not sell your personal data.
2. Managing your consent
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may be asked to provide consent before personalized advertisements are shown. The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage this, letting you:
- Accept personalized advertising
- Choose non-personalized advertising
- Modify your consent preferences at any time
You can revisit this choice any time from Profile → Privacy Settings inside the app, which reopens the same consent dialog. On iOS you can also change App Tracking Transparency permission any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Your consent status may affect the type of advertisements shown.
3. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing core gameplay, purchases, and the leaderboard | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Crash reporting and product analytics | Legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Personalized advertising and ad measurement | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), collected via the UMP consent dialog |
You may withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 2, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. Data sharing
We do not directly sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data may be processed by trusted third-party providers (Google/Firebase, AppLovin, Apple) strictly as described in Section 1, in accordance with their own privacy policies linked above.
5. Data retention
Anonymous leaderboard data is retained for as long as your app install remains active, and is deleted on request (see Section 7) or after prolonged inactivity. Crash logs and analytics events are retained by Google/Firebase according to their own retention windows, typically up to 14 months for Analytics data. Ad-related identifiers are retained according to each ad partner's own policy, linked above.
6. Children's privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at yasumi.support@gmail.com and we will delete it.
7. Your rights (GDPR & other privacy laws)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email yasumi.support@gmail.com. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
8. Data security & international transfers
We rely on reputable third-party providers (Google/Firebase, AppLovin, Apple) that implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect user data. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own standard contractual safeguards — see each provider's policy, linked in Section 1.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
